SHENZHEN, China — A security guard in China was dragged to his death when a massive sink hole opened up under his feet at a residential compound Tuesday.
Yang Jiabin, 25, was walking along the sidewalk in Shenzhen when the incident happened. Reports say the sink hole that swallowed him was about 16 meters deep and 5 meters wide.
Recent heavy rain has caused underground water pipes to collapse in the area, while other reports have claimed residents in the area had been complaining about tremors caused by nearby construction work, according to The Metro.
