HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A well-known emergency responder and Luzerne County 911 dispatcher died early Tuesday in a vehicle fire in the parking lot of his apartment on Garrahan Street in Hanover Township.

Ryan Broghamer, 25, was discovered inside his Jeep Cherokee after firefighters were called to the report of a vehicle fire around 4 a.m., officials said.

Broghamer was pronounced dead at the scene. A state police fire marshal continues to investigate the fire, but it is not considered suspicious. Authorities said the vehicle remained running after Broghamer arrived home when the fire began.
