Wet road caused the vehicle to hydroplane

WACO, Texas — Three responders and a patient were injured when an ambulance rolled on a rain-slick highway Sunday afternoon in Texas.

The ambulance was transporting a heart attack patient to the hospital in Waco when the wet road caused the vehicle to hydroplane, according to KFDM News.

When the driver overcorrected, the ambulance entered a ditch on the left side of the roadway.

The responders – two EMTs and a paramedic – suffered minor injuries. The patient is in critical condition, but from his original medical emergency, according to the report.
