CONNOR TOWNSHIP, Maine — An ambulance hit a moose Monday evening on Route 1, but the driver and passengers all escaped injury, according to a Maine State Police press release.
Benjamin Zetterman, 29, of Connor was operating a 2006 Ford ambulance owned by the town of Van Buren at around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, heading southbound on Route One in Connor Township. As the ambulance approached the intersection with the Jemtland Road, a moose entered the road and was struck by the ambulance.
