MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing his Ford Explorer into an ambulance shortly after midnight Saturday.

A Memphis Fire Department ambulance was at Sherwood and Florida turning southbound when it was struck on the driver’s side by a Ford Explorer, traveling north on Florida with no headlights, according to Memphis police spokesman Louis Brownlee.

Aaron Franklin, 23, is charged with driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence. The paramedic driving the ambulance was ticketed for failure to yield.

There were no injuries, Brownlee said.
