HOUSTON — A suspected drunk driver struck an ambulance that was transporting a patient Friday morning.
KHOU reported that the Community Volunteer Fire Department ambulance, which did not have on any overhead lights or sirens, was traveling northbound when the driver of a black pickup hit it at an intersection.
A second ambulance was called in to continue transporting the patient.
No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
There was no official word on charges relating to the incident, according to the report.
