CYPRESS, Texas — Cypress Creek EMS filed for bankruptcy last week after serving north Harris County for more than 45 years, Community Impact reported.
The agency previously shared the area with Emergency Services District No. 11 before it formed its own service providerv – ESD11 Mobile Healthcare – pushing CCEMS to adjust their focus.
CCEMS officials plan to reorganize the agency’s debt, though spokesperson Miranda Sevcik said it is unclear how employees will be affected. A chief restructuring officer will be secured through bankruptcy court.
“The best option we have is through the protection of the federal bankruptcy court reorganization filing. CCEMS has engaged seasoned insolvency professionals who are guiding CCEMS through this process and who will lead CCEMS to a secure future,” Sevcik said in a statement.
