Va. ambulance catches on fire, no one injured

It will cost $250K to replace the charred vehicle

BASSETT, Va. — An ambulance that belongs to the Bassett Rescue Squad is in ruins after it caught on fire on Friday.

The Henry County Public Safety director, Matt Tatum, said a squad member was driving the vehicle back to the office after responding to a call when the ambulance started smoking.
