SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — An EMS provider was transported to the hospital after he crashed his rig into a trooper’s patrol car and sheriff’s deputy SUV that had responded to a big-rig crash.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper and sheriff’s deputy had responded to a crash involving two big-rigs on Interstate 40, KFVS 12 reported.
As the trooper and deputy were outside their vehicles investigating the crash, an ambulance crashed into the two vehicles.
The ambulance driver and his passenger were both taken to the hospital with non-critical inuries.
Neither the trooper nor the deputy were injured in the crash.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash. It is currently unknown what caused the incident.
