SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A 38-year-old man is in critical condition after his motorcycle crashed into a car and then slid into an ambulance Thursday night, according to Syracuse police.

The crash was reported to police just after 8 p.m. near the intersection of South Salina and New streets, said Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski.

An investigation found the man was riding his motorcycle before crashing into another car and sliding into an AMR ambulance, Malinowski said.

The motorcyclist was taken to Upstate University Hospital.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Police ask that anyone with information about the crash call 315-442-5222.
