CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. — A crash involving an ambulance Monday resulted in the death of a driver, according to officials.
WNBF reported that a TLC Ambulance rig was responding to a call with its lights and siren activated and was trying to make a U-turn when an SUV crashed into it.
The SUV, which was driven by a 68-year-old man, then crashed into a guide rail.
The EMS crew treated the driver until another ambulance arrived. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
The crash is currently under investigation.
