DETROIT — A Jeep driver rammed into the back of a Detroit ambulance, and the two vehicles were stuck together for about two miles, ClickonDetroit reported this week.
The Jeep hit the ambulance at least eight times before becoming stuck.
“We’re south of 8 Mile, we’ve got a car continually hitting us from the rear,” EMS providers in the ambulance told dispatchers. “They are continuously pushing us right now.”
The EMS providers drove to the Detroit Police Department’s 11th Precinct, where they parked.
Officials said the Jeep driver was experiencing a mental health crisis.
