Safety and the EMS Provider

In the wake of a record number of inductions into the National EMS Memorial, the issue of safety in EMS has come to the fore across the country. Several new initiatives are under way to look at everything from how we carry our gear to how it's stored in the ambulance, as well as the design of the ambulance itself, in an effort to improve the safety of our workplace. A veteran EMS provider, educator, and administrator talks about where we are and where we're headed in making safety our highest priority.
