NuPhysicia provides telemedicine services to Canadian medical group

The technology allows doctors to examine patients remotely

By EMS1 Staff

NuPhysicia announced a partnership to provide telemedicine and electronic medical records to 10 Atlantic Offshore Medical Services facilities throughout Canada.

The NuPhysicia technology features two-way video, secure SSL Internet, and ASP web systems for electronic medical records.

The technology allows medical staff to speak electronically with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Doctors and patients can see and speak with each other, and the scope allows doctors to listen to heart and lung sounds and examine a patient’s ears, nose and throat remotely, as well as share charts and other information with healthcare workers.
