Job Description |
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Oversee the programs, processes, procedures, technology, and activities for the Communications Center. Job functions include coordinating the daily and weekly schedule for dispatchers and call-takers. Makes sure calls are completed in an efficient, profitable, and compliant manner. Resolve day to day issues within the Communication Centers as they arise. Oversee all Communications Personnel inclusive of efficient utilization of resources.

RESPONSBILITIES:
 Coordinating units to emergency and non-emergency calls.
 Posting crews in proper location.
 Tracking of multiple units.
 Assist in answering phones.
 Constantly communicate with Management staff.
 Cleans and maintains the Communications Center.
 Maintain files.
 Effectively communicates and makes prompt and accurate decisions to help achieve company goals.
 Continuously cross-train in other function areas.
 Conducting employee education and training.
 Keep track of attendance occurrences.
 Provide leadership and day to day management of the assigned Department.
 Manage, with coordinated effort with Billing and Marketing to assure all necessary patient care and billing documentation is completed within specified time-frames and allows for maximal reimbursement.
 Assure compliance with federal, state and local standards, contractual requirements, and established operational and safety policies and procedures.
 Providing work direction and review.
 Develop cost effective scheduling for center and direction to staff to balance workloads.

 Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and members of the medical / EMS community.
 Effectively communicate and make prompt and accurate decisions to help achieve company goals.
 Providing problem-solving assistance to less-experienced employees
 All other duties as assigned by the Communications and Quality Manager and/or Operations Manager and/or Executive Leadership.
 Maintain current knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and other private, local, state and federal Ambulance reimbursement procedures. This includes Insurance allowances and laws related to Ambulance Transportation.
 Maintain current knowledge and Compliance with all HIPAA regulations as related to Ambulance and Communications Center Operations.
 Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
|
- Education High School degree required.
- Experience EMS experience preferred.
- Additional Requirement :
QUALIFICATIONS:
EMD certification.
Previous customer service experience.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to relate well to diverse workforce.
Able to work as a team.
Friendly demeanor.
Familiar with medical terminology.
Capable of working independently in a fast pace environment.
Computer literate.
Proficient use of Windows based applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Must be able to respond to the Lifeguard office in a timely manner, as needed.
Exhibit willingness to work as a team member, be flexible and readily adapt to change.
Deal effectively with conflict in a professional and productive manner
Lead and manage change in a professional and productive manner.
Concentrate on details without distractions and/or frequent interruptions; manage time and organize work with minimum direction; effectively teach and lead and supervisory skills.

Salary Information

Salary: $35,000-42,000 annual |
