Rescue teams search for missing Marine wife in Calif.

Woman was last seen with another Marine; police say foul play is likely

The Associated Press

FALLBROOK, Calif. — Sheriff's deputies in San Diego County are searching for a Marine's wife missing for two days, and say it is likely foul play is involved.

Teams searched rural areas around Fallbrook Monday for 22-year-old Brittany Dawn Killgore, who was last seen Friday and whose cellphone was found Saturday in San Diego's Gaslamp District.

Lt. Larry Nesbit says Killgore was last seen with another Marine, 45-year-old Louis Ray Perez, who was arrested Sunday on suspicion of possessing a stolen rifle in an unrelated case.

The North County Times says records show Killgore filed for divorce last week from husband Cory Killgore, who is returning from Afghanistan because of the disappearance but is not suspected of being involved.

Nesbit says "there is a strong likelihood Britanny is the victim of foul play."
