BRIDGEWATER, Nova Scotia — A woman is dead and two paramedics are in hospital with serious injuries after an ambulance left a Nova Scotia highway Wednesday and went into the woods.

The single-vehicle accident occurred just before noon on Highway 103 near the Hubbards exit. The weather was good at the time.

“We are co-operating fully with the RCMP,” said Emergency Heath Services spokesman Paul Maynard, who explained that police are now in charge of the investigation and determining what caused the accident.
