BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - All kinds of calls come into fire station 3 in Brentwood, but what happened Thursday morning a few hours after midnight is something Lieutenant John LoPiccolo will cherish for the rest of his career.

"As soon as I stepped out of the firetruck I was told that she was in the process of delivering," said LoPiccolo, a 20-year veteran with the fire department.

Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Williamson County Sheriff's Deputies on I-65 pulled over a woman in a Toyota mini-van for speeding. As soon as an officer started talking to her, they learned the driver's daughter who was in the passenger seat was about to give birth. By the time Lt. LoPiccolo arrived, one of two twins had already been delivered inside an ambulance.
