Man charged with assaulting paramedic

The man was reportedly drunk and attacked the medic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Ky. paramedic was assaulted a patient he was trying help on Monday.

According to police, Charles Shelton was drunk and had a cut to his face and attacked Louisville Metro paramedic David Todd.

A police report says that Shelton punched Todd and spit on him while Todd tried to help him.

Shelton was arrested and is charged with assault.
