Man spits at EMTs responding to assault in Pa.

Police allege that Shawn Smith was intoxicated

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.  — A 23-year-old man is charged with assaulting a woman at a Hamilton Township home.

Police allege that Shawn Smith, no address provided, was intoxicated and grabbed a 32-year-old woman by the throat and was combative at the Center Drive home.

Police said he also began spitting on EMTs trying to provide medical attention.

The incident took place in November. Police released information on the information today.

Police said he is being charged with aggravated assault.

Barb Okorn-Error Barb Okorn-Error Thursday, January 19, 2012 4:39:57 AM Why bother to charge him. I had blood spit in my face and was told at the hearing "He was tested he has nothing." So he got probation and anger management. And this was in Pa. Nice justice system.
