The rescue effort following last Monday's devastating earthquake took a tragic turn yesterday when authorities revealed more than 200 relief workers had been buried by mudslides in southwestern

China in the past three days.

China's official news agency Xinhua said the number of people reported dead, buried or missing rose to 71,000 yesterday and may continue to climb ... Full Story

"I would have to say that air ambulances are overused sometimes. Classic example: At the end of last month, I had to wait about 30 minutes for a helo. I had a 24yo M GSW to L Knee. We could have gotten the kid to a level 1 trauma center in 10-15 by ground. The problem was that Fire (who took command) wanted to call the bird in for the second time in less than two hours."
