EMS1 Forums Post of the Week
"There is a point of ignorance in the general public when it comes to mistakes made by EMS. Perhaps it is because we're held in higher regards. Many times I've come up on a scene and I overhear bystanders saying, 'the ambulance is here everything will be ok.' This feeling of 'help is coming,' is obviously good, but it also brings high expectancy. We are NOT expected to make mistakes. Therefore, any mistakes made must be because the ambulance crew, cop or fireman for that matter did not know what they were doing."
