A 23-year-old woman killed two fellow students with a .357 revolver in a emergency medical technology class classroom, then committed suicide, police said.

The women apparently were shot in their seats in the second-floor classroom at Louisiana Technical College, Sgt. Don Kelly said. About 20 people were in the room at the time, he said.

The motive behind why the shooter targeted the two women is still unknown

"Seems to me the medics in question treated you by the book. But at the same time they got carried away. Since you fell and did hit your head you probably should have been c-spined and backboarded like they did. In my opinion it was completely ridiculous to cut your clothes off and make you "trauma naked." That is usually reserved for severe trauma patients to expose injury, aid in hospital assessment, and to find any other injuries."
