The EMS community has been devastated by two line-of-duty-death incidents this week.

Christa Burchett, a Ky. city EMS director, was hit by a runaway tractor-trailer while she was treating an accident victim at the scene.

Earlier, Louis Berra, a Mo. paramedic/ firefighter, was found dead in his bed by colleagues during a shift change ... Full Report

An off-duty Tipton County, Tenn., paramedic, Daron Greenway, 42, was killed by a man driving a stolen car during a traffic accident Tuesday.
