EKG Club Case of the Week
Not Another Underdose
You've been called to a 62-year-old male who has "overdosed" on prescription medications at his home. You've heard that the terminology to refer to these patients has changed from "overdose" to "deliberate self poisoning" because the majority of patients have, in fact, taken an underdose. You are escorted to a bedroom where you find a confused man who appears to be intoxicated ... Full Case

EMS1 Forums Post of the Week
"It's something as a young, fledging EMT-B, paramedic student that I didn't think I would encounter so early in life. On January 10, a tornado struck my small town of 1000, destroying most in its path from one end to the other. It made me wonder, as people often ask me, why do I do what I do? What makes you other EMTs and medics do what you do?"
