EMS1 Forums Post of the Week
"We are having trouble getting people to go to medic school (2,000-hour certificate OR 2-year degree) because they can go to an ASN program, where it takes basically the same amount of time, in some cases costs less, and they can make a lot more money in the end. Currently I have three employees, all EMT-I (85) with decent experience in an ASN program. They all love EMS and want to get there medic later, but when they looked at medic school versus nursing school, all three went the nursing route."
