Thieves target ambulance for painkillers

A rash of thefts targeted an ambulance station left the ambulances without boxes of pain medications

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — Police in Washington County are investigating a break-in at an ambulance substation.

According to Channel 11's news exchange partners at The Valley News Dispatch, the crime happened sometime over the weekend.

Police said the thieves first tried to get in the back door of the Roscoe substation of Rostraver-West Newton Ambulance and ended up smashing a door.
