Commuter trains collide, injuring dozens

5 of the injured were seriously hurt

VIENNA, Austria — Officials for Austria's state-run railway service say two trains packed with morning commuters have collided, leaving dozens injured, five of them seriously.

The say the crash occurred in an outlying Vienna suburb where trains in both directions use one set of rails.

Rescue crews were on the scene shortly after the early Monday accident and evacuated all the passengers and crew.

OBB railways spokeswoman Sarah Nettel says the cause of the accident will be investigated.
