| The College of Southern Idaho Emergency Medical Services Program is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic EMS educator professional to join its dynamic, nationally accredited program. The position is a 9 moth annual contract position. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in EMS education and will serve as a positive role model to students entering the EMS field. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to teach a full range of EMS (EMT-Basic, Intermediate, and Paramedic) lecture, lab and clinical courses in a nationally accredited Emergency Medical Services Program which may include day and evening assignments.
Participation in: professional development, service to the college community, committee assignments, program/department review, student mentoring and advising, and program Advisory Board meetings.

- Education Bachelor's Degree
- Experience 3 Years
- Additional Requirement :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Associate Degree with the ability to earn a Bachelor’s degree within 2 years.
Nationally Registered or Idaho Certified Paramedic
Idaho Certified EMS Instructor or ability to become certified by time of hire
Demonstrated success as an EMS Instructor
At least 3 years work experience as a paramedic
Instructor certification in all of the following: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, BTLS or PHTLS.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
A working knowledge of the accreditation process and the use of technology (including human patient simulation and online delivery) are preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Full time EMS Instructor position will supervise adjunct faculty in the lecture, lab, and clinical settings.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The EMS Instructor position requires performing and demonstrating lifts, moves, and procedures relative to emergency medical care. It also requires standing for up to three hours at a time while teaching lectures, labs and clinicals both indoors and outdoors. On occasion, the instructor must also lift, move and carry various pieces of equipment that may weigh up to 125 pounds.

Salary: $34,000 minimum for 9 month contract annual |
