EMT uses ambulance to block car in police chase

The EMT put the vehicle in the path of the car being pursued by police, allowing officers to arrest the driver

Hastings & St. Leonards Observer

ST. LEONARDS-ON-SEA, England — An EMT deliberately blocked his vehicle across the path of a car being pursued by police.

The drama unfolded this afternoon close to the entrance to the Conquest Hospital. A marked police car spotted a Jaguar pass it at 3.45pm. It failed to stop on Rye Road and officers followed the car along The Ridge and into the Conquest Hospital grounds.

The driver then rammed the patrol car with his vehicle and attempted to drive away but was stopped by an ambulance whose driver deliberately blocked him in.
