Dr. Jeffrey Ho
Associate Medical Director for Prehospital Care, Hennepin County Medical Center


Dr. Jeffrey Ho is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He practices clinically at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, an urban Level 1 trauma center. After completing a residency in emergency medicine in 1995, and a Fellowship in pre-hospital emergency care in 1996, he was awarded a Bush Foundation Medical Fellowship in Law Enforcement in 2003 which allowed him to complete peace officer standards training. He is a licensed deputy sheriff in the state of Minnesota and currently serves with Meeker County Sheriff's Office. Dr. Ho has served as a medical director/operator of an urban SWAT team, and is currently a medical director for several Minnesota EMS agencies and has over nine years of reserve military experience. He regularly consults with law enforcement agencies and government on issues of in-custody death and conducted electrical weapons. He is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School and an independent, expert medical consultant to TASER International where he leads a cadre of researchers studying human physiologic effects of non-lethal weaponry.
