HEMET, Calif. — A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing Thursday in a field outside Hemet when he lost power.

Cal Fire crews found the Cessna 210 private plane that made a landing just after noon in an agricultural field north of Hemet-Ryan airport, near Warren Road and Domenigoni Parkway.

The pilot was not injured and the plane suffered minimal damage as it came to rest upright in a crop field.

Fire officials said the single-engine propeller plane was en route to the Hemet airport from Palomar Airport near Carlsbad. Several people reported the crash.
