SYRACUSE, Utah — According to a family spokesman, a Utah teenager has died after being run over by a pickup truck while sunbathing on a residential driveway.
Lance Hamblin says 15-year-old Marli Hamblin died Sunday afternoon at a hospital, two days after she suffered head injuries in Syracuse, 25 miles north of Salt Lake City.
Police say she was listening to her iPod and didn't hear the truck as it backed out of the garage.
Investigators say the driver was a family member who didn't realize the girl was on the driveway.
They say the driver was "really struggling" after the accident and won't be charged.
The driver's name and relationship to the teen weren't released.
Friends and family have established a fund to help pay medical bills.
