HUNTINGTON, W.V — City police are investigating a Moday morning vehicle accident that involved a Cabell County Emergency Medical Services ambulance.

The accident happened about 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 7th Street.

Cpl. R. Stinnett said the ambulance was traveling east on 5th Avenue, when it made contact with the passenger vehicle. The ambulance then struck four parked vehicles.

Charles Parks was driving the passenger vehicle. He said he had the green light, but the ambulance still came through the intersection. He reported the ambulance attempted to speed through the intersection without its lights or sirens activated.

Stinnett said the ambulance's lights and siren are part of the department's investigation. It is also looking to see if the ambulance was responding to an emergency call at the time of the incident.

No injuries were reported.
