Drive cameras keep an eye on N.J. emergency responders

BETHLEHEM, N.J. — Local emergency responders are touting a new gadget in addition to Global Positioning Systems that they say also makes their jobs easier.
Some ambulance departments are benefiting from cameras that record information outside of the ambulance as well as in the driver's compartment.
The drive cams, which are mounted on the windshield, are constantly recording, Bethlehem EMS Director Gordon Smith said.
