Sansio's HealthEMS® Solution Is Certified EMSTARS Compliant
DULUTH, MN - Sansio announces notification by the Florida Bureau of Emergency Medical Services that its HealthEMS® solution was certified compliant with the EMSTARS (EMS Tracking and Reporting System) on September 5, 2007. Sansio is only one of two vendors in the nation to achieve this status.
The EMSTARS Project is developing a new system for the transition from aggregate data collection to incident level data collection of pre-hospital data from local providers across the state of Florida. The Bureau's objective is to design a patient/run level dataset that is compliant with the NEMSIS (National EMS Information System), which meets the needs of the state and enables the EMS provider community to better assess their performance.

The industry-leading HealthEMS® ePCR (electronic Patient Care Report) was the key element in supporting increased compliance with NEMSIS and the 400 data fields specific to the NHTSA 2.2.1 dataset. Combined with import and export functionality, the HealthEMS® ePCR supported Sansio being one of three vendors selected nationally to achieve “Gold” status with NEMSIS transmissions in June, 2006.
