WALLKILL, N.Y. — A chain reaction crash on Route 17 westbound in the Town of Wallkill late Thursday afternoon involved around 70 children.

In total, five school buses were transporting kids from the Metro Industries Church in Brooklyn when one of the buses rear-ended another and was itself rear ended by a car.

Several ambulances and EMS personnel converged on the scene to assess the situation.
