7 injured in Fla. tent collapse
High winds, rain topple tent on state fair's opening day

TAMPA, Fla. — Authorities say high winds knocked over a tent during the Florida State Fair's opening day, injuring seven people who had to be taken to the hospital.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said in a press release that three of those sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries when the tent was upended Friday at the fairgrounds in Tampa. The others had minor injuries.
High winds and heavy rain on the leading edge of a cold front sweeping through west-central Florida led the National Weather Service to issue a tornado watch.
