ScanHealth Attends 2006 NEMSIS Software Developers Meeting
DULUTH, Minn. - ScanHealth will be represented at the 2006 NEMSIS Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Software Developers Meeting being held in Clearwater Beach, Florida, on Saturday, August 26. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the Sand Key EMS Summit organized by the Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC).
On July 14 2006, ScanHealth was notified by the NEMSIS TAC that its HealthEMS® solution was certified compliant at the “Gold” level with the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) Version 2.2.1 Dataset. ScanHealth was only one of three vendors in the nation to achieve this status at that time.
“We were very excited to be one of the first three vendors in the country to be selected for NEMSIS Gold compliance; ScanHealth has strived to keep our customers in compliance with regulatory bodies, and attendance at this meeting helps demonstrate our commitment to them,” says Tim Hakamaki, VP of EMS for ScanHealth, who will represent ScanHealth at the meeting. “We have been following the NEMSIS project for many years and are excited to see it take off.”
The NEMSIS Project is an effort to create a National EMS Database. The database will contain data from local and state agencies from across the nation. This effort will define EMS and prehospital care in a way never before imagined, improving patient care and EMS curriculum and defining a standard on which to measure care. Agencies across the nation will be able to share the key elements of their data nationally.
