Product Description
Revenue Recovery for emergency medical services is not a new concept as commercial service providers have been billing for years. Revenue recovery programs are constantly being revised by the federal government (Medicare and Medicaid) requiring constant monitoring in order to assure that the proper submission criteria is met for expedient responses to the client. In addition to monitoring the changes, there are also requirements to continuously provide the necessary training for those processing the run forms. Certified Ambulance Group monitors the insurance industry for changes in condition codes and insurance ICD-9 codes (International Classification of Diseases-9-codes), and other required revisions... which if not handled properly could create significant delays in receiving revenues from the respective agencies. While larger commercial organizations may elect to develop their own in-house methods of tracking and submitting bills either by computer or by hand, this may not be a feasible option for the volunteer or municipal EMS provider. The staffing and computer needs alone can make a billing program cost prohibitive. Certified Ambulance Group gives volunteer and municipal EMS providers the benefits of having a full time qualified billing staff without the associated costs of running their own office.
