4 EMTs hurt as ambulance, rig crash in NY

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Four emergency medical workers were injured Monday night when their ambulance collided with a tractor- trailer on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, Erie County sheriff’s officials reported.

All four workers were taken to Lake Shore Community Hospital, Irving, with injuries that authorities described as not life-threatening.

The accident occurred a few minutes before 9 p. m., when the Farnham ambulance was southbound on Route 438 with its emergency lights activated.
