WENN Entertainment News Wire Service

NEW YORK — Mila Kunis was rescued by firefighters Saturday after she was trapped in a New York elevator for 45 minutes.

The Black Swan star was in a packed elevator with a female friend and 10 strangers when the lift jammed in the building on Bank Street in Manhattan's West Village.

Kunis is said to have kept her calm as emergency services worked to free them during the ordeal.

A source tells the New York Post gossip column Page Six, "They were stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes, and it became very hot in there, but Mila and everyone else remained calm. There were firetrucks outside, and firefighters helped them get out."

Kunis has been in the Big Apple to film The Angriest Man in Brooklyn with actor Robin Williams.
