NAEMT Launches New Web Site

Clinton, Miss. — The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) recently launched a new web site, www.naemt.org, to coincide with the start of its annual meeting.

Targeted primarily to NAEMT members, the new site is organized to provide easier access and greater usability to members and other visitors to the site. The site prioritizes initiatives under Education, Membership and Advocacy to coincide with the three key areas of focus within the NAEMT strategic plan.

New to the front page is a robust search engine as well as a NAEMT News section that highlights organizational news. Also new is an EMS Headline News area that draws news from around the world that may be of concern to EMS practitioners.

In addition to learning more about the organization as a whole, including its leadership, positions on EMS issues, educational programs and membership offerings, EMS practitioners can sign up for a course, register a course, join NAEMT or renew their membership online, view news from Washington or even contact Congress regarding issues of concern to EMS practitioners through the Capwiz online advocacy service. Members have the opportunity to access their benefits, find EMS jobs, apply for scholarships, view EMS resources and more.

To view the site and interact with its new features, visit www.naemt.org.

Formed in 1975 and today nearly 25,000 members strong, NAEMT is the nation’s only organization solely dedicated to representing the professional interests of EMS practitioners, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders and other professionals working in pre-hospital emergency medicine.

NAEMT members work in all sectors of EMS, including government service agencies, fire departments, hospital-based ambulance services, private companies, industrial and special operations settings, and in the military.
