UK ambulance chief criticizes staff on FacebookDavid Forster has been disciplined after he attacked 'lazy' EMS workers on social media site

The Sunday Mirror

YORKSHIRE, England — A director of one of England's biggest ambulance services has been disciplined after he attacked "lazy" NHS workers on Facebook.

In an online discussion, David Forster, policy and strategy director at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, said: "The NHS has no shame in employing too many who are lazy, unproductive, obstinate, militant, aggressive at every turn and who couldn't secure a job anywhere outside the bloated public sector where mediocrity is shielded by weak and unprincipled HR policies."

Mr Forster and senior managers at Yorkshire Ambulance Service have been under fire after figures last month showed it had the worst 999 response times in England.

The trust issued a statement distancing itself from the comments and said the matter had been dealt with internally.

But it refused to say what action it had taken against Mr Forster.
