Anne Castioni Anne Castioni Saturday, November 10, 2012 4:20:59 PM Cause of death is most likely SDA-sudden cardiac arrest. In most cases that is ventricular fibrillation, which can be treated with rapid defibrillation. Unfortunately, in case it did not come in time. How about next time an officer is down send two ambulances?
Mike Ledgerwood Mike Ledgerwood Sunday, November 11, 2012 3:29:00 PM What would two ambulances do to mitigate the problem? If they were given the wrong address then you got two ambulances going to the wrong location. Having been a cop myself we were told to always know our location because there can be two identical addresses and the difference can be as subtle as North versus West. Sounds like this officer probably didn't give good location information to her dispatch. It is unfortunate that it cost her life.
