LONDON — Paramedics took 23 minutes to reach a police woman who collapsed and died running after a thief.

DC Adele Cashman, 30, gave chase after a woman had her mobile snatched in Camden, North London.

The ambulance service said they were given the wrong location. The target time is eight minutes.

The cause of her death is still being investigated.

In most cases that is ventricular fibrillation, which can be treated with rapid defibrillation. Unfortunately, in case it did not come in time. How about next time an officer is down send two ambulances?

If they were given the wrong address then you got two ambulances going to the wrong location. Having been a cop myself we were told to always know our location because there can be two identical addresses and the difference can be as subtle as North versus West. Sounds like this officer probably didn't give good location information to her dispatch. It is unfortunate that it cost her life.
