Rural Metro is seeking the following professional to join our team:
Operations Manager
East Point, Georgia
The Operational Manager works in the assigned area to ensure service is maintained as assigned or in emergency staffing situations. The Operational Manager facilitates the response to customer requests for emergency and non-emergency requests in compliance with appropriate Local, State, Federal and Rural/Metro Corporation standards In addition; the Operational Manager works closely with all departments within the organization in order to foster a strong team relationship. This individual is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and support of designated municipalities, healthcare systems and/or geographic areas.
Responsibilities:
Operational Objectives
Maintains daily oversight of transport units in and communicates any variances to upper management.
Assist upper management with system status management and planning.
Assists in coordinating Community Events and standbys
Take customer inquiries and follow our internal Customer Resolution Process and promptly attends to customer inquiries and/or complaints
Under direction from the Market General Manager, maintains fiscal budgetary responsibility including tracking all units, call volume, inventory, and minimizing unnecessary expenses
In conjunction with the Market General Manager, is responsible to assess staff and equipment needs daily and weekly for the assigned area
Acts as a liaison with hospitals, facilities, police and fire departments with the communities, by addressing concerns, facilitating process improvements and maintaining relationships.
Maintains a clinical presence on a regular basis
Operate and drive an ambulance with regard to state and company safety policies.
Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with Communications Center.
Maintain replenish and care for vehicles, equipment and supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned including those specific to the local operation.
Mentor EMTs, Paramedics, Students, and new employees.
Monitor and address issues with missing and/or incomplete ePCRs
Manage daily inventory of Controlled Substances sub-stock.
Coordination with the Fleet department on daily vehicle needs/issues.
Work in conjunction with other departments to appropriately report and address, accidents, complaints, employee injuries, exposures and investigations until resolution.
Human Resource Management
Ensure full employment within the market and work hand-in-hand with HR to ensure that positions are filled quickly and that quality candidates are hired and retained.
Provide direction to direct reports to initiate appropriate levels of training, and to promote an environment consistent with Rural/Metro culture throughout the market.
Conduct timely and informative meetings with staff. Cascade information in a timely fashion.
Works effectively with Administrative Support to ensure a detailed, organized and highly efficient market approach.
Support Corporate initiatives
Participate in recruiting and training certain positions.
Liaison to field operations with respect to understanding Company Health & Safety initiatives.
Ensure that the group provides outstanding customer service and 24 hour response time to the field.
Coordinate activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes.
Develop team and is focused on succession plan within the group.
Ensure that employees all have goals and receive regular feedback on their performance.
Performance management of personnel including, reviews, corrective action, mentoring, development plans and performance improvement plans.
Training
Ensure that all required Certifications are current and remain current.
Attend all Company required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory Company updates. Complete the training in the allotted time the Company sets.
Maintain knowledge of job and medical field.
Keep current on training for new equipment, procedures, and techniques.

Additional Information
|
Qualifications:
Current state EMT-B or EMT-P certification as required by State.
Current CPR Pro certification card
Current ACLS card if appropriate
Current state Drivers License in good standing.
Satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Companys Driving Policy.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.
Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.
Other qualifications/certifications specific to the local operation and/or contract requirements.
Satisfactorily meet Company physical assessments/tests.
