Job Description |
Reporting directly to the EMS Chief, the Shift Captain overseas both clinical and operational aspects of the EMS Shift. Provides direct supervision to 4 ambulance crews. Will be expected to complete a community paramedic course (provided by the dept.).
Minimum job requirements: currently certified or licensed as a paramedic with the Texas Dept of State Health Services. 5 years of 911 experience. Formal Critical Care course prefered. Must be an outstanding clinician with experience with vents, pumps, video laryngoscope, STEMI and Stroke Protocols. Certification as an instructor is a plus.
Pay commensurate with experience and education, low end of range is $49000.
Coryell Memorial EMS is a Hospital Authority Based EMS provider covering 760 square miles of Coryell County. Current volume is approx 300 calls per month with this years growth expected to near 400.
