Job Description |
| The City of New York is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Director of Operations for the Office of Citywide Emergency Communications (OCEC) to oversee day to day management of operations (performance management, data sharing, systems/facilities and IT service management) and to develop both short and long term objectives, business and operational plans for the Emergency Communications Transformation Program (ECTP). ECTP is a $2.03B multi-year initiative to upgrade the technology and consolidate the NYPD and FDNY 911 call taking and dispatch functions into two Public Safety Answering Centers. Operations Director will direct IT Service Management, including asset, release, incident and change management processes, including vendors and services.

Job Requirements
|
- Additional Requirement :
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Business, Program Management, Technology Management, Information Technology or a related field and five years of progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience in one of the following areas; 9-1-1/Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), Public Safety Information Technology Systems (i.e., Computer Aided Dispatch, Mobile Data Computers, Geographical Information Systems, networks, Logging and Recording systems, etc.), Emergency Management Operations, or Information Technology, with at least 2 years of this experience in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity in the supervision of staff performing these duties.
