The Associated Press

KINGSTON, N.Y. — A paramedic has been indicted on grand jury charges stemming from burglaries at Hudson Valley homes where he had responded to emergency calls.

The Times Herald-Record that an Ulster County grand jury indicted 48-year-old German Lobaton of Spring Glen on charges that include burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

In October, state police arrested Lobaton after burglaries were reported at three homes he had visited while working for several different local rescue squads. Troopers say after someone was taken to the hospital, Lobaton would go back to the homes and steal items.

Police say a search of his home turned up a stash stolen property, including firearms, jewelry, electronics and cash.
