             A Year in Pictures

EMS1 takes a look at some of the most important global events and memorable photos of 2009.

          2009: A Retrospective

As 2009 draws to a close, it's helpful to look back on a year of changes and historical moments to prepare ourselves for the future. In a year of multiple medical helicopter crashes and a swine flu pandemic, we also witnessed new EMS education standards and progressive steps towards health care reform. It's hard to say what 2010 will bring, but we can always learn, improve, and prepare ourselves through an analystical reflection on the past 12 months.
